My Top 6 Travel Bloggers That You Should Follow

Posted on March 20, 2020March 23, 2020 by Jaida Stewart

You might spend your screen time on Instagram, or Snapchat. But not me! I like to check out my favourite travel bloggers’ new posts! Here is a list of my top 6 favourite travel bloggers…

The Blonde Abroad

The Blonde Abroad is a website made for solo, young female travellers. Kiersten Rich, the founder, quit her job, started traveling in 2012. She didn’t know what to do, so she turned to the world, and in Bolivia she decided to start her blog, The Blonde Abroad. Over the years she has become one of the most successful travel bloggers in the world! Kiki has so many tips and tricks for female travellers plus she has started her own tour company called TBA escapes for adventurous women who want to travel. She’s just recently redone her website into an awesome style. Kiki now has a team of 6 women working with her on her website, and has worked with all sorts of brands, like Go Pro and PADI tv.

Young Adventuress

Young adventuress is an awesome website also for young female travellers. Liz Carlson writes all of her adventures on her blog and of course travel tips and tricks. One of my favourite things about Liz’s website is that she has an awesome confessions category where she writes about a crazy thing that happens to her while she was traveling. Her writing is very exciting, and non filtered, it’s like she’s blogging as if she knows all her readers. Liz moved to Spain in 2010 to teach english, realized that professional travel blogging was a real thing and decided, that’s what she was gonna do. Liz lives in New Zealand now, and has recently taken over for Waikato, nz region, as she has awesome photography skills.

Expert Vagabond

Expertvagabond.com has been around for 9 years. He’s got over 6 million readers. Matthew Karsten originally started his travel blog just for family and friends, but it then became a big success. His website has lots of tips about budget traveling, nomadic living and lots of interesting stories. He wants to help people who are looking for daily inspiration and motivate them to live a life full of adventure! He’s got an awesome YouTube channel with almost 50 000 subscribers, where he has tons of videos of him on his adventures and of course tips for traveling videos.

Nomadic Matt

Nomadic Matt is a website that you’ve probably already come across if you’ve done travel research, because it has so much great content. Matt something has been traveling nomadically since 2006! That’s a long time! He met a group of backpackers when he was on a trip to Thailand that showed him it was possible to travel without being stuck to a job at home. That’s when he decided to keep traveling. His goal is to help other people discover their travel dreams like those backpackers helped him.

My Life’s a Movie

My life’s a travel movie is a travel blog with lots of adventurous stories. Not only is Alyssa Ramos a travel blogger, but she is also an Instagram influencer. Alyssa started her travel blog in 2015 when an article she wrote for Huffington post called “yes I’m pretty and I’m traveling alone” went viral. She even put her apartment on AirBnb to make money to travel, but was only breaking even. Since then Alyssa has been to 85+ countries and she works hard to keep her blog going. The goal of her site is to help inspire others and help them realize that if you work hard enough you can achieve your goal.

The Broke Backpacker

The Broke Backpacker is the ultimate travel blog for budget travellers who want to go on real adventures. It is a site to show budding adventurers how to “ditch their desk” and start their own adventures. Will Hatton started The Broke Backpacker in 2014 but has been traveling since 2009, so he has lots of stories to share. When he backpacked for the first time, he was hooked. He’s a big adventurer and tries to travel in the cheapest countries. He has trekked the jungle in Venezuela, and has survived knife point robberies in Nepal. In 2020 Will plans to stop working online and travel without a phone for a while! I don’t know anyone else who would do that.
